India, Singapore and Australia team clock

The Asia-Pacific footprint — India, Singapore and Sydney — on one live timeline, with hour-by-hour tables of who is in the office when. The easiest three-city overlap on this site.

Opens with Kolkata (IST) as the home city and Singapore (SGT), Sydney (AEST) beside it. Drag the timeline to any hour to convert it; add your own city with the search box. Nothing is sent to a server.

night · dawn · morning · midday · afternoon · dusk — click a city for the big clock, drag a band to travel through the day

    When is everyone in?

The tables below assume a nine-to-six day in each city and count, for every hour of Kolkata's day, how many of the 3 offices are inside theirs. That is an assumption, printed so you can see it — not a recommendation, because nothing here knows anyone's real hours. There is one table per arrangement of the clocks, because 2 different arrangements occur during 2026.

Shaded cells are inside that city's nine-to-six; a highlighted row has every office in. For a different working day or another city, use the timeline above — the daylight colour on each band is the same question answered by the sun.

    Working across Kolkata, Singapore, Sydney

Of every three-city footprint on this site, this is the one where everyone can actually be in the room. Singapore is two and a half hours ahead of India and Sydney is four and a half or five and a half, so the three working days stack rather than scatter: Sydney starts first, Singapore an hour or two later, India last, and for most of the Indian morning all three are at their desks. The tables below put the exact hours on it for each half of the year — a shared window of four and a half hours in the Australian winter and three and a half in the Australian summer, which is more than many teams in one country get.

Only one of the three cities changes its clocks. India keeps UTC+5:30 all year and Singapore has kept UTC+8 since 1982; Sydney goes forward on the first Sunday in October and back on the first Sunday in April, so the whole footprint has exactly two arrangements a year and both are printed below. The change is the mirror image of the northern hemisphere's: the gap to Sydney *grows* through the Indian winter and shrinks in April.

Because the overlap is generous, the interesting decisions on this footprint are about the edges. Sydney's first hours — 9am to 11am — have nobody in India yet and only Singapore for company, which is why Australian teams on this footprint hold their own standup early and the joint one later. India's last hours, from about 1:30pm or 12:30pm Indian time onwards, have Sydney gone home and Singapore heading that way, so India's afternoon is its own. A recurring joint meeting at 11am or noon India time is inside everyone's day in both halves of the year, and that is unusual enough to be worth saying.

Australia is not one time zone and Sydney's is the one used here. Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart match it exactly; Brisbane stays on standard time all year, so it is an hour behind Sydney every southern summer; Perth is on Singapore's clock, UTC+8, with no daylight saving at all, which for a Perth office makes this a two-zone footprint rather than three. Singapore's clock is shared by Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Hong Kong and all of China, so a Singapore hub's numbers apply unchanged to those offices.

The date differs between the ends of this footprint for a large part of the evening — from about 6:30pm or 7:30pm in India it is already tomorrow in Sydney — which is the only place this footprint bites: a Friday-evening release from India is a Saturday-morning one in Sydney. The hour tables mark the day change on every row where it happens.

    Frequently asked questions

When are India, Singapore and Sydney all at work?
From 9am India time until Sydney's day ends — about 1:30pm India time in the Australian winter (when Sydney is on AEST) and about 12:30pm in the Australian summer (AEDT). Singapore is at work throughout that window. The tables above give the exact hours for each period.
Does Singapore change its clocks with Australia?
No. Singapore keeps UTC+8 all year, as does Perth. Only the south-east of Australia — Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide — observes daylight saving, from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April.
Is Perth on the same time as Singapore?
Yes, exactly: both are UTC+8 with no daylight saving. A Perth office on this footprint sits two and a half hours ahead of India all year and one to three hours behind Sydney depending on the season.
